Upstream Process Development

The cell culture development process is critical in creating a robust and productive process that is economically feasible and viable for commercial-scale operation.

Samsung BioLogics’ Upstream Process Development group can provide exceptional development support for cell culture processes that meet future commercial requirements through systematic optimization of choice parameters.

Our group of experienced scientists and analysts specialize in mammalian cell culture. Our laboratory is furnished with cutting edge, state-of-the-art equipment. We use scientifically sound techniques such as design-of-experiments approach for process optimization to reach optimal titer values and generate superior quality products. Every step in our process is aimed towards developing a robust, efficient, scaled up manufacturing process to deliver consistent product quality. Our current developmental culturing equipment ranges from 125mL flasks up to 200L bioreactors; 50 L or 200 L bioreactors may be used for pre-clinical production.
